If I had a million dollars the first thing I would do is build a new house. I would probably put a bg pool in the backyard. I've always wanted to have a pool. I also would have a trampoline. Those are always fun.
The second thing I would do is buy a car. I don't know what kind I would get, but I know I would buy one. Who knows, I might buy 3. The third thing I would do is put about 400,000 in the bank for in case I run into a rough spot or just extra money.

1. Aha moment... In 2-5 sentences describe the "Aha Moment" from Raymond's Run.
When Squeaky decided to make Raymond a runner. She was thinking about how either her or Gretchen would win, and how Raymond would be a good runner. When she realized that he has the ethics to be a runner was the "aha moment" I think in the story. 2. Plot... Think of the various components of Plot and briefly describe each in Raymond's Run. -Exposition, Squeaky always watcehs after her brother because he has a disease that makes him have a big head. -Rising Action, Rosie telling Squeaky she won't win this year, her coach telling her she might want to give the other girls a break, and her in her "dream" right before the race started. -Climax, The whole race when they were running. -Falling Action, Raymond climbing quickly up the fence, Squeaky having to lean down to catch her breath as the man on the loudspeaker was talking. -Resolution, Squeaky is wanting to become Raymond running coach instead of her running. 3. Choose 3 of the following 4 questions to answer. Make sure to type the question as well as your response so the readers of your blog know what you're responding to! a. How do you know if something is worth effort? Give an example of a time when you worked hard for something. Why was it worth it? It depends on how much it means to you. I worked my hardest for the past 8 years to be on a good softball team and now I am on one and I have worked hard to be this good at softball. It was worth it because my dad never really worked with me to get me better because he didn't think I could be good enough and now i am on oen of the teams he told me I couldn't be on because I wasn't good enough. b. How do you judge someone? For example, if you said "She is a confident person," how would you make that judgement? Have you ever misjudged someone? c. Give an example of an Aha Moment you recently had. (Think of the "lightbulb" going off right above your head) How did this change your situation? When I was trying to do my math homework last night and I forgot my textbook so I went online to find it and I wasn't able to find it, but I thought of how I had homeroom the next day so I could quit stressing about how to get it done by Algebra the next day. d. Think of someone (or yourself) that may have a disability. How has this disability affected how this person is judged (or explain maybe how it doesn't). At my old school there was this disabled girl named Anika and nobody ever bullied her and everybody was always nice her, even when she was being mean to them or was in one of hose moods she always had. She was so sweet. She would come up and hug people out of no where just like one of the other disabled kids, Alex. |
